Step 1: Make the Green Chendol Jelly

  • Grab the scissors from the bottom left toolbox and snip open the green sachet at the top.
  • Pour the green candy into the pot, add the rice flour from the small plate, then add water and stir well.
  • Place the pandan leaves into the blender, add water, cover it, and press the triangle button to blend until the mixture turns bright green.
  • Pour the green liquid into the small bowl under the stove.
  • Install the gas canister into the stove on the right, ignite it, and pour the green liquid into the pot.
  • Keep stirring with the whisk until it thickens and turns a rich green color, then turn off the heat and pour it into the rectangular container.
  • Pop the container into the fridge to chill.

Step 2: Cook the Mung Bean Paste & Pearls

  • Add water and sugar into the pot, turn on the heat, and drop the raw pearls inside. Once cooked, transfer them into the middle of the three small bowls below.
  • Place the pot back on the stove, add sugar and mung beans, then pour in water.
  • Control the flame by turning the stove knob clockwise to increase or counterclockwise to decrease the heat. The trick is to align the indicator with the green arrow on the bar.
  • Once the mung beans soften and the water evaporates, add sugar and water, then stir with the whisk until it turns into a thick yellow mung bean paste.
  • Pour the paste into the rightmost small bowl below.
  • Back on the stove — open the coconut milk can (tap the top), pour it into the pot, add sugar, then add the tapioca flour and milk.
  • Stir everything with the whisk until the coconut mixture is done, then pour it into the leftmost bowl below.

Step 3: Assemble the Beans Sweet Soup

  • Take out the chilled green chendol jelly, place it on the long plate to the right, and cut it into small cubes.
  • Transfer all the jelly cubes into the glass mixing bowl in the middle.
  • Pick one ingredient from each of the six small compartments below and add them to the mixing bowl.
  • Finally, scoop coconut milk with the round spoon and pour it generously into the bowl.
  • Done — your beautiful Beans Sweet Soup is ready to serve!
