Video Guide & Text Walkthrough
Strategy Guide: Donut
Step 1: Make the Dough
- In a mixing bowl, add water, crack in two eggs, and add salt, sugar, and yeast powder.
- Use a whisk stick to mix everything thoroughly.
- Add two scoops of flour into the bowl and continue stirring until it becomes a soft dough.
- Gradually add the remaining flour and keep mixing with the blue spatula until a smooth dough forms.
- Transfer the dough onto the cutting board, add a block of butter, then place it back into the bowl and cover it with plastic wrap to let it rise.
- Once the dough has risen, move it back to the cutting board, roll it out with a rolling pin into a thin round sheet, and cut it into four equal parts with a knife.
- Click each quarter to turn it into a dough ball, then roll each ball out again into four flat rounds.
- Use a round cutter to cut a hole in the center of each dough round.
Step 2: Fry the Donut Base
- Place each dough round onto a mat.
- Turn on the stove, pour oil into the frying pan, and carefully fry each dough round in the hot oil.
- Flip each one with a spatula to fry both sides evenly.
- When done, remove them from the oil — but watch out! A cat steals one, leaving you with three.
- Place the remaining three donuts onto the mats.
Step 3: Make the Colored Dough
- In a glass bowl, add water and place a sifter over it. Pour in flour and sift to remove impurities.
- Add a block of butter and stir with a spatula until the mixture is smooth.
- Scoop out two portions of the dough for later use.
- Dye each portion with food coloring — one blue, one red — and cover them with plastic wrap to rise.
- Heat water in a pot and place the colored dough bowls inside, stirring them with a spatula until the color brightens and they’re cooked through.
- Remove both colored doughs and set them aside.
Step 4: Assemble the Donuts
- Dip each fried donut base into either the blue or red colored dough, then place them onto the plate below.
- Sprinkle colorful sugar powder over the donuts for decoration.
- Use a piping tip to decorate the tops with chocolate icing.
- And just like that — you’ve cleared the stage!
