Cookingdom Level 36: Indian Curry

Video Guide & Text Walkthrough

Strategy Guide

Step 1: Rinse and Cook the Rice

  • Pour the rice from the bowl into the rice cooking pot.
  • Place the pot under the faucet and fill it with water to rinse the rice thoroughly.
  • Open the rice cooker lid, place the pot inside, plug in the power cord, close the lid, and switch it on to cook the rice.

Step 2: Prepare the Curry Chicken

  • Remove the plastic wrap covering the chicken.
  • Cover the sink drain with a stopper and rinse the chicken under running water.
  • Move the chicken to the cutting board, pat it dry with a towel, then cut it into pieces.
  • Transfer the chicken pieces into the large ceramic bowl in the lower right corner.
  • Use a spoon to add the four colored spices onto the chicken.
  • Stir the chicken pieces clockwise in the bowl until they’re evenly coated and change color.
  • Important: Remove the sink stopper to drain the water before proceeding, or the level can’t be completed.

Step 3: Prepare the Vegetables

  • Place the fresh basil, onion, tomato, potato, and carrot (still covered in soil) into the sink to wash them — don’t forget to use and remove the sink stopper as needed.
  • Once clean, remove the tomato, cut off the stem, dice it, and put it into the red bowl.
  • Repeat this process for the basil, potato, onion, and carrot, chopping each and placing them into their designated color bowls.
  • Make sure to peel the onion and carrot before chopping.

Step 4: Cook the Curry Chicken

  • Turn on the stove and place the pan on top, then open the lid and pour in some oil.
  • When the oil is hot, add the chopped vegetables from the top left plate into the pan.
  • Use a spoon to add salt and pepper from the bottle in the upper right corner into the pan.
  • Stir the ingredients in the pan counterclockwise with a wooden spatula until they change color.
  • Add the marinated chicken pieces into the pan, followed by the four colored spices from the lower right, and then pour in some water.
  • Close the pan lid and let it cook.

Step 5: Plating

  • Remove the cooked rice from the rice cooker and place it in one corner of the plate.
  • Add the cooked curry chicken alongside the rice.
  • Finish by sprinkling some chopped green onions on top — and you’ve cleared the level!
